What is the lead time for orders? - Our estimated production time spans from 2 to 6 weeks.
How do I choose the size of jeans? - It's a simple process. Visit our Measuring Page and measure using your best-fitting non-stretch jeans or pants. Compare your waist size measurements to the jeans’ standard size chart available in our online store. Then, choose your desired length. Please note on some jeans we will add 2-3" to the inseam length you submit for potential shrinkage. As these are handmade jeans, dimensions may vary slightly.
What are the other measurements for? - These measurements help you select the jeans that will fit you best. Take these measurements and compare them to the information found on the size chart for the jeans you're ordering.
What is Sanforized or Unsanforized - Our products are labeled as either Sanforized or Unsanforized in the description. When dealing with Unsanforized denim, also known as "shrink-to-fit" or loom state, it's important to note that this fabric will experience shrinkage typically 7–10% after the first wash. Particularly in the jeans legs (inseam measurement) or jacket sleeves. To accommodate for this shrinkage for jeans we add 2 to 3 inches to the inseam length measurements you provide.
On the other hand, Sanforization, a process developed by Sanford Cluett in 1928, involves pre-shrinking the denim to reduce the amount of shrinkage it undergoes during washing. Denim that has been pre-shrunk through a process that stretches, fixes, and shrinks the fabric before it's cut into jeans. Sanforized denim is easier to size and has a more uniform look. Jeans made from sanforized denim will still shrink about 2-3% on the first wash, but this shrinkage is minimal and won't significantly impact the size and fit of the jeans. It's a key factor to consider when choosing between the two options.
How are the jeans shipped? - USPS Priority Mail shipping costs are already included in the prices. Ensure you're shipping to a secure location, as a signature is required. Please refer to our Ordering & Shipping policy.
Can I pick up my jeans? - Certainly, but it's by appointment only.
How are the jeans made? - Each pair is meticulously crafted one at a time by hand in our shop.
How do I break in my jeans? - Upon receiving your jeans, wear them and engage in your daily activities. The more you wear them, the better they'll shape your body. Some prefer to get the jeans wet and let them dry to conform to their body. While the waist may initially feel tight, it will stretch up to 1" after a few weeks of wear.
Will the denim in my jeans fade? - Yes, denim will naturally fade over time, creating unique patterns. If you want these faded marks, avoid washing your jeans too often.
How do I Care for my Jeans? - We recommend, only when dirty:

- Hand Wash:
- Wash: Gently soak and hand wash your jeans inside in premixed detergent. Hand agitate and soak for 15-30 minutes, and then rinse.
- Dry: We recommend hang-drying, but others prefer to lay them flat on a towel, gently brushing the garment flat with their hands, and allowing it to dry.
- Machine Wash (if needed):
- Wash: Use cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Dry: While a cool dryer is acceptable, we prefer the gentler method of hang-drying.
